Together with European Coordination Let's Liberate Diversity and Arche Noah, Kybele ran the ERASMUS + project Seeding Europe to build policy capacity for small-scale organisations involved in seed saving accross the EU.
In the framework of the ERASMUS + Project Seeding Europe, Kybele prepared and delivered 2 trainings to build and reinforce the capacity of small-scale non-governmental organisations to understand and engage with EU policy-making processes. The first lab introduced EU institutions and applicable policy-making procedures. The second focused on the EU law of the seed, outlining different policy areas that impact the use and exchange of seeds, from environmental conservation objectives to seed marketing, plant health rules and intellectual property rights. Each of these labs consisted of a long presentation session followed by a dedicated questions and answers session ran through Kahoot, to which students continued to have access following the training.
Kybele also compiled a comprehensive Guide on EU policy, based on the policy labs and informed by the questions formulated during the training sessions by the students.
The Guide is available in English, French and Spanish.
